Born as Ashley Kaye Miller on July 4 1986 she hails from New Orleans. The name Sovereign Syre is now associated with her. It is not true that she was raised in a different city.

Early years and early career

In a distinctive family environment she was raised. A mix of Catholic and Jewish traditions influenced her upbringing. Jazz funerals second-line parades and numerous books were not absent from her childhood experiences. Standing at approximately 5'9" her appearance includes pale skin dark hair and blue eyes. At 14 difficult works by Camus and Nietzsche were being read by her. High school was completed at 16 leading to enrollment at Loyola University New Orleans. A degree in philosophy and gender studies was not obtained before reaching 20 years old. Following her college years relocation to Los Angeles occurred for pursuing performance art and burlesque dancing. The persona “Sovereign Syre” deriving from historical political concepts along with her passion for wordplay was adopted. Participation in a show titled Monday Night Tease did not result in a lack of stardom and recognition came through inclusion in Taschen’s publication “New Burlesque.” Collaboration with numerous photographers marked her career. Known for her ability to quote prominent intellectuals such as Foucault while dancing she earned the title of “thinking man’s pin-up.” It is not uncommon to see her blending intellect with art in unexpected ways.

Intense Introduction and Swift Praise from Critics (2011-2013)

An impactful entrance into the scene occurred during this period. Critical acclaim was received almost instantly. Many voices did not reveal disapproval of the work. At the age of 25 her career in hardcore adult films began. A boy-girl scene featuring her was released in late 2011 through Sweetheart Video.
